Ashton on Mersey have announced their Social Events Plan for 2012. Building on the success from 2011, many events will be repeated allowing club members, family, friends and sponsors to attend a full plethora of activities at Little Ees Lane. More details of each event will follow closer to the time, but keep checking the website for up to date information.

Junior Nets 2012

The 2012 Junior Nets programme is well underway and generating much excitement for the new season. Current juniors and new juniors are welcome to attend at the appropriate times listed below.

U11′s (7-8pm) and U13′s (8-9pm) nets will take place every Friday at Sale Grammar School Sports Hall from 03/02/2012 to 30/03/2012 inclusive.

U15′s and U18′s (8-9.30pm) nets will take place every Wednesday at Sale Grammar School Sports Hall from 01/02/2012 to 28/03/2012 inclusive.

Manchester Marathon

Calling on all players, parents and supporters of AOMCC to do something which everyone should attempt in their lifetime; something which has a massive sense of achievement once complete and something which at the end of the road, you can honestly say “I’ve done my very best and now I want to see the impact I’ve made”…

On Sunday 29 April 2012, the Greater Manchester Marathon is returning to Trafford after a 10 year interlude and Ashton on Mersey CC have entered a team into the race! Mark Timms, Steve Hart and Jody Timms have entered on behalf of the cricket club, hoping to complete the Marathon in one piece!

And what should make this even more appealing is the charity/organisation which we have decided to run for, is something which we all have an interest in, either as a parent, player or cricket enthusiast and it’s something that when the money
has been raised and collected – the money raised will go towards the Junior Cricket Section.

Senior Nets 2012

The Cricket Section are looking to recruit new senior players of any ability for the 2012 cricket season.

Ashton on Mersey is a successful and well organised club based in the South of Manchester. We have great facilities and young Senior Section. Both our 1st and 2nd teams have had recent success and we have real ambitions for greater success in 2012. We operate 3 senior league sides in the Cheshire Cricket Leagues and 1 senior side in the local midweek T20 league. We are looking for players at all levels for 2012, but particularly players of appropriate standard to increase our pool of players.

We are a very social, family orientated club and would welcome players to buy into our positive ethos to get in touch by clicking on the ‘Contact’ link.

Senior Nets will take place every Tuesday at Old Trafford on the dates outlined below.
