Ashton on Mersey Cricket and Tennis Club provides a wide range of membership categories for all age groups and interests.

With the clubhouse conveniently placed in South Manchester near Sale Town Centre and a short walk from Ashton Village, we can provide many opportunities for members looking to play competitive cricket and in Cheshire.

If you’re looking for a warm and social environment then The Beets is the place for you. New members can join for half price and enjoy the benefits of the clubs faciltities. 

The categories are as follows:

Cricket (Playing)
Cricket members can be selected to represent one of the three senior league teams which play every weekend during the Summer (1st and 2nd XI play Saturday’s 3rd XI play Sundays).  We welcome players of any ability level from complete beginners to experienced competitive players.  Cricket membership is HALF PRICE in the first year.

Cricket (Social)
Our Sunday XI play approximately 10 friendly fixtures on Sunday’s during the summes, 40 overs per side.  The side is made up of a combination of (a) players just wishing to play social rather than league cricket (b) juniors experiencing senior cricket (c) Saturday players wanting extra cricket.

Tennis (Social)
Access to the courts for unlimited tennis from May to September

Social Membership
As a social member you will receive access to all of the Clubhouse amenities for 52 weeks of the year.  These include a bar lounge, function room, pool table, darts facilities and access to support the senior and junior cricket and tennis teams during the Summer.

Note: as of February 2010, Social Membership includes social sport at no extra cost, i.e. Sunday XI friendly cricket and use of tennis courts.

Junior Membership
We have under 11, under 13 (A and B teams), under 15 and under 18 membership categories.  As well as league cricket for each age group we offer weekly coaching frmo 8 ECB qualified coaches within the club.  Coaching is weekly outdoor from late April to late August and indoor from late January to early April.  Junior membership is automatically for all sections of the club (Cricket, Tennis and Table Tennis) hence a junior member for one sport may also play as much of the other sports as they wish.

Students
Students can join the cricket section for a reduced rate.

Table Tennis
Our table tennis facilities are one of the best in Trafford, with teams competing in both summer and winter leagues.  For details of membership please contact David Richardson on 0161 969 0974

Darts
Darts doesn’t have a membership category as such; members wishing to play darts or for the darts team would simply join as social members of the club.  League Darts is played on Wednesday nights throughout the year, summer and winter leagues 501 competition.
