The Club is committed to providing cricket opportunities for juniors in a safe and positive environment. The junior cricket section is thriving, with members from early school years through to young adults about to leave school. The Club is ECB Clubmark accredited and had adopted ECB’s Safe Hands – Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children.
The Club provides training for junior squads both indoors at a local sports centre in the off season and outdoors at the Club from about Easter through to the end of summer. Different age groups train on different evenings. Age group teams are entered in the South Manchester League. Coaches encourage junior players of the appropriate standard to play representative cricket, for Trafford, Cheshire and Lancashire. As the junior players get older, there are opportunities for more selective coaching in the Junior Academy and also a chance to contribute to the Club’s teams in senior cricket leagues.
Membership forms are available from the Club and asks for various personal details, medical information, and consents, etc. for the benefit of children, parents and coaches.
